Overseas Konstellation Company

If you need high-performance technical foam, the OK Company materials – and particularly Microlen – are a reliable, cost-effective option.

Overseas Konstellation Company (typically shortened to OK Company) is a European manufacturer of cross-linked polyolefin foams. Its signature Microlen range offers characteristics similar to Plastazote and the AZOTE range by Zotefoams, but is manufactured with chemical blowing agents (while remaining entirely free of CFCs and HCFCs and meeting stringent European regulatory frameworks). Its foams are suitable for a wide range of applications, particularly for engineered foam inserts and protective packaging.

At Polyformes, we are official distributors and converters of OK Company foams. We have extensive knowledge of Microlen, supplying sheet material and converted products to a wide range of businesses across the UK and beyond.

FAQs

OK Company’s closed-cell polyolefin foams are manufactured for a broad spectrum of technical and industrial market sectors. Their primary uses include industrial packaging and protection, construction and waterproofing, acoustic and thermal insulation, and marine applications.

OK Company foams are generally safe are manufactured to be as environmentally friendly as possible. All of their cross-linked and non-cross-linked foams are  free of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs). Their foams are also lightweight, fully reusable, chemically resistant, and compliant with current European CE and R.I.T.E. (Reglamento de Instalaciones Térmicas en los Edificios) environmental frameworks.

Microlen is OK Company’s flagship product. It is cross-linked, closed-cell polyolefin foam. Unlike Plastazote and other Zotefoam materials, it is manufactured using checmical blowing agents (instead of nitrogen expansion).

While OK Company maintains its corporate headquarters in Madrid, it splits its manufacturing operations across two industrial facilities in Spain. The first is located at the Polígono Industrial La Serra II in Anglesola (Lleida), and the second is based in the Polígono Industrial Villalonquejar in Burgos. These facilities handle the specialised foaming processes, extrusion, and block laminations for their entire global polyolefin product portfolio.
