Polyethylene (PE) foam is the most widely used foam for drawer liners. Plastazote in particular, is easy to cut, provides excellent cushioning and durability, and is completely resistant to chemicals, oils, and moisture. EVA foam, such as Evazote, m ay also be suitable for certain applications, offering a slightly softer, more rubber-like texture where protecting the surfaces of tools is important.
The ideal foam thickness for tool chest foam is 30mm to 50mm for tool organisation (e.g. shadow boards), and 2mm to 6mm for standard non-slip foam liners.
