Ethafoam® 900 is the heaviest-duty material in the Sealed Air Ethafoam® range, with its closed-cell structure providing a density of 146kg/m³.
Its high density means that Ethafoam® 900 polyethylene foam provides vastly superior load-bearing support compared to standard grades and offers significant vertical compressive strength, reaching 60 psi at 25% deflection. As such, it completely resists deformation under static loads up to 20 psi while maintaining compressive creep under 10% over long periods. Ethafoam® 900 is suitable for multi-drop industrial cushioning, vibration isolation and structural dunnage involving heavy machinery, aerospace components, and military equipment.
At Polyformes, we can supply all Ethafoam® grades, as prefabricated packaging and dunnage, or as material for conversion at your business. Our in-house equipment allows us to cost-effectively supply products or materials in the exact size and format you need.
The data presented for Ethafoam® 900 relates to the unfabricated polyethene foam product. While values shown are typical of this product, they should not be construed as specification limits. These are given to the best of our knowledge and should be considered as guidance for selecting a suitable grade for a given application. Please contact our foam experts for further advice if required.
