Stratocell® Plus is a unique composite material that combines standard Stratocell® polyethylene foam with a laminated top layer.

Stratocell® Plus features a base layer of standard low-to-medium-density foam, heat-laminated to a high-density Cellu-Cushion® foam or a tough 3.5 mm polyethylene film. This structure means Stratocell® Plus offers significantly higher puncture resistance, minimal surface abrasion, and the ability to be “kiss-cut” to create durable, reusable hinges. It is selected over standard, unlaminated grades because it enables multi-component, flat-pack designs that can reduce storage space and labour costs (e.g., gluing multiple foam blocks together).
