Ethafoam® 150 is the lowest-density material in the Ethafoam® range, at approximately 25kg/m³ (1.5 pcf).
Manufactured by Sealed Air, Ethafoam® 150 is a closed-cell polyethylene foam used almost exclusively for packaging. It’s generally preferred over higher-density grades like 220 or 400 for applications requiring lightweight, cost-effective cushioning for low-to-medium weight, fragile items. Alongside its excellent recovery characteristics – returning to its original shape quickly after compression – its low density helps Ethafoam® 150 minimise shipping weight and costs.
At Polyformes, we are official Sealed Air partners. As such, we can supply your business with Ethafoam® planks in standard or custom sizes, as well as a wide range of alternative foam materials. We can also help identify the most suitable foam for your specific requirements
The data presented for Ethafoam® 150 relates to the unfabricated polyethene foam product. While values shown are typical of this product, they should not be construed as specification limits. These are given to the best of our knowledge and should be considered as guidance for selecting a suitable grade for a given application.
