Plastazote® LD45 is a closed-cell, cross-linked polyethylene foam with a nominal density of 45kg/m3.
Part of the Zotefoams Azote® range, LD45 foam offers the optimal balance of durability, cushioning, and ease of fabrication. Compared to lower-density grades (such as LD24 or LD33), LD45 is preferred when superior structural integrity, better shock absorption, or a more precise finish is required. It also retains its shape and thickness better under sustained, heavy loads (reduced creep). As such, Plastazote® LD45 is the best all-around grade for applications requiring a balance of protective cushioning and structural support.
At Polyformes, we are official distributors of the full range of Zotefoams materials. Our in-house equipment allows us to cost-effectively supply LD45 foam sheets at the exact size and thickness you require, or convert them into packaging or other foam products as required.
The values provided in this product information represent data gathered from random samples of Zotefoam’s production of Plastazote® LD24 FM foam and represent typical data. These are given to the best of our knowledge and should be considered as guidance for selecting a suitable grade for a given application. Please contact our foam experts for further advice if required.
